Bill Gates

Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, United States. He grew up in a supportive family environment that valued education and encouraged curiosity. From a young age, he developed an interest in technology and showed remarkable skills in mathematics and logic. When he was still in school, Gates began programming on early computers, experiences that shaped his future career.

In 1973, Gates enrolled at Harvard University. However, his passion for computer science soon led him to leave his studies and dedicate himself fully to a project that would change the world. In 1975, together with his childhood friend Paul Allen, he founded Microsoft. Their vision was clear: to make personal computers accessible and useful to everyone.

Microsoft quickly gained recognition by developing software for different computer companies. The introduction of MS-DOS in the early 1980s established Microsoft as a leader in the software industry. A few years later, the company released Windows, a revolutionary operating system with a graphical user interface that made computers easier to use. This innovation transformed the personal computer into a tool for both businesses and households.

During the following decades, Gates led Microsoft to become the most influential software company in the world. His leadership was marked by determination, competitiveness, and strategic vision. By the mid-1990s, he was widely recognized as the richest person in the world, a title he held for many years.

In 2000, Gates stepped down as CEO of Microsoft, although he remained active in the company for some time. He gradually shifted his focus toward philanthropy, establishing the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the largest private charitable organizations in history. The foundation concentrates on improving global health, reducing extreme poverty, and supporting education. Through this work, Gates has donated billions of dollars to initiatives such as vaccination programs, the fight against malaria, and access to clean water.

At present, Gates is considered not only a pioneer of the digital revolution but also one of the most influential philanthropists of modern times. He frequently addresses issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and innovation in science and technology.

In the future, Bill Gates will likely be remembered as a visionary who helped shape the information age and as a philanthropist who devoted much of his wealth and influence to improving the lives of millions around the world. His biography illustrates how innovation, ambition, and social responsibility can come together to leave a lasting mark on history.
